Overnight Tour to London
- The coach will leave Royal Well Bus Station at 7:00 a.m.
- I have maps of Greenwich to give you on the coach.
- We will probably be back in Cheltenham by 6:30 – 7:00 p.m.
Please remember your U3A Membership cards.
Programme: We travel by coach to Westminster and board a river boat to travel to Greenwich. There will be free time there, with lots to see. You can visit the Cutty Sark or the National Maritime Museum, which is a great museum with free entry. Other possible visits could include the Queen’s House, the Royal Observatory or the big Greenwich Sunday market. Or you could enjoy a walk along the Thames path.
I hope to provide maps for you showing these places.
In the late afternoon we rejoin the coach and travel a very short distance to the Clarendon Hotel, a 3 star hotel overlooking Blackheath, where we will have dinner, bed and breakfast.
Next day we visit the Royal Chelsea Hospital and will be shown round by a Chelsea pensioner. We will also visit the nearby National Army Museum.
Cost: This is likely to be £159, fully inclusive of coach, hotel B and B and entrance fees on day 2. There is a good allocation of single rooms with NO SUPPLEMENT for this tour. Depending on numbers it may be a little less than£159.
