Open Meeting | Tuesday, 26th Feb 2019
by Frank Austin
Frank became involved with the RNLI in 1976, as the secretary of a sea angling club. Every member had to be a member of Shoreline, the membership scheme of the RNLI. Frank was chairman of the Cheltenham branch from 1988 – 2088 and received a number of awards for his work during this time. He has been a speaker for the RNLI for 40 years. As a photographer he has had photographs of lifeboats in several publications.
This lecture complements a series of ten TV programmes about the work of the RNLI, which was aired in the autumn of 2018. The RNLI is one of this country’s best loved charities and a focus for many seaside visits.
