The U3A Digital Photography DSLR 2 Group aims to meet approximately once a month to do an assignment.
These assignments are usually chosen by the Group Leader, but may have been initiated as a request by the members.
As most of these sessions tend to be outdoors, we are dependent upon suitable light and weather, and thus I keep my eye on the longer range forecast and try and pick a suitable day within the week ahead. I then inform the members by email and invite them to take part.
In some instances I might have to limit the number of participants depending on the situation and subject matter. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis if this is needed.
The emphasis of this group is “Learning by Doing”. We are less concerned with the post production (or Digital Darkroom) aspect of photography. Members will benefit most by listening to suggestions from other photographers and being willing to try different camera settings and ideas.
We use a Facebook closed group to display our images and make comments on each other’s work. Click on the logo below.
