The group focuses on all aspects of global history,  broadly, but not unduly strictly,  from around.the time of the French Revolution onwards. All our presentations are by members of the Group, but there is absolutely no compulsion on them so to do! All who have an interest in that period,  and a desire to enhance their knowledge and understanding of its fascinating ramifications,  are most welcome. Members are fervently encouraged to join in the post-presentation discussions and questions.

During the pandemic lock-downs,  the Group continued very successfully on line, but we hope to resume full meetings at the Community Resource Centre in Grove Street (near Waitrose) Cheltenham at the start of the new term in September.  Meetings will now be in the afternoon on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. Some vacancies are expected, but the very limited numbers will not be known until the final formatting of the spaces at the Centre is determined. In the meantime please

The Group is currently engaged in a chronological study of the history of Europe, and  has just reached the end of the Great War. The inter-war years beckon!
