WOODLAND FOR u3a 40TH ANNIVERSARY

The Third Age Trust is planting 5000 trees in celebration of the fortieth anniversary of the u3a. This woodland will be planted in the Brecon Beacons. Donations for purchase of trees must be from individual members and not through the accounts of the u3a. Details of how to make a donation to purchase a tree can be found in the news section of The Third Age Trust website via the link in our “Links” section.

A SW copse has now been planted in the Brecon Beacons. If members want to visit the copse, it can be located using “What Three Words” and the address “///stubble.princely.critic”.

The South-West regional trustee, Susan Parker, has offered to gather individual trees purchased by u3a members to form a copse of 100 hundred trees which would have a name plaque and location, thus making it possible to visit such a copse in the u3a Woodland. She is willing to act as banker but asks that if possible members group together and send one cheque or make one transfer to her account. If members wish to participate in Susan’s suggested arrangement, please email her at [email protected] and she will send details for ordering and banking.
