Some of you will remember very enjoyable u3a days at the Everyman Theatre a few years ago. Another one is being planned for Friday 15th December, based around an adaptation of the Dickens story A Christmas Carol, which is being performed in the Everyman’s Irving Studio Theatre.

After meeting for coffee/tea in Matchams, there will be a talk about the production from the director, Paul Milton, who once enlightened us about ’Waiting for Godot’. Next there is a buffet lunch with chips, salad and tea/coffee. Then we’ll see the matinee performance of A Christmas Carol.

At the time of writing this article final details are still being sorted, but it looks as though the package will cost about £30 per person – a bargain even Scrooge wouldn’t resist!
