Visit to Berkeley Castle

CANCELLED

Cancelled

Date:      Monday April 27th
Depart:  Bradley Road 9:45am or Royal Well bus station 10:00am.

Cost:          £16.50
Programme:

We drive straight to the castle. There is time for a coffee if you wish; refreshments are served in a yurt which can apparently seat seventy!  We are then offered a guided tour free of charge, in groups of twenty. The tour lasts for about 75 minutes. If you would rather go around on your own, this will be fine, but please let me know when you book so that we can have the correct number of guides for our group.

After the tour you can either bring a picnic or have a snack lunch in the yurt.  There are eight acres of grounds to explore. It is also possible to visit Edward Jenner’s house, which is reached through a gate in the grounds, though it might be difficult time wise. Arrival back in Cheltenham will be at approximately 4:00pm.

To book for this outing, please ring me – my number is in the newsletter  Please note that I am away between February 24th and March 1st, so not then, please, and no cheques through the door nor phone messages!

When you have your place confirmed, please send me a cheque for £16.50, payable to Cheltenham U3A. My address is at the front of the newsletter. Please send all cheques within a week of booking to keep your place. I had to phone twenty people last time!  (Probably due to Christmas!)

Thanks
