English Country Dancing

Contacts: Ann Jackson, Joyce Richards

When? The English Country Dancing Group currently meets on the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month (except August & December).

Where? St Mark’s Methodist Church Hall

Gloucester Road, Cheltenham GL51 8PX

There is a car park behind the hall and the D bus from the town stops close by.

Why? According to the NHS website, dancing is good for you! It improves posture and balance, strengthens bones, beats stress and, above all, is fun.

Who? We are a small, friendly group who would love to have some new members.

No experience is necessary. We walk through dances first and have a caller to remind us what to do.

You do not need a partner. You do not need any special equipment, just a pair of flat comfy shoes.

English Dances are generally less energetic than those done at the recent U3A Barn Dance or in Scottish Dancing.

Why not come along and join in the fun? For further details, ring the numbers in the groups list of the newsletter. Many thanks.
